We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
If you do not attend a booked lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be forfeited. Repeated no-shows may result in future bookings being declined.
In the unlikely event that Pivotal Driving School needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a full reschedule or refund of that lesson.
We currently accept cash payments only. Payment must be made directly to the instructor.
Your first lesson can be taken before payment. From the second lesson onwards, payment must be made in advance to secure your booking.
Block bookings require payment in full upfront. Discounts may apply — please enquire for current offers. Block booking payments are non-refundable once lessons have commenced, unless Pivotal Driving School cancels.
Payment for test day use of the vehicle must be made in advance of the test date to confirm the booking.
All pupils are expected to treat their instructor with respect at all times. Aggressive, threatening or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in lessons being terminated immediately without refund.
Please be ready at the agreed pick-up time. Arriving late will reduce your lesson time as lessons cannot always be extended to compensate.
Pupils must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during any lesson. Lessons will be refused and the full fee charged if this is suspected.
Mobile phones must be switched to silent and not used during lessons unless in an emergency.
All pupils must hold a valid provisional driving licence before lessons can commence. It is the pupil's responsibility to ensure their licence is valid and up to date.
The Pivotal Driving School vehicle is insured for pupil use during lessons and approved test day use only. Any damage caused by deliberate or reckless behaviour may be charged to the pupil.
The number of lessons required to reach test standard varies between individuals. Pivotal Driving School cannot guarantee a pass within a specific number of lessons or timeframe.
Lesson prices are subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to existing pupils with reasonable notice and will not affect pre-paid block bookings.
